ಅರಕಲಗೂಡು ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಾಗತ
- Arkalagud, is one of the taluk Head quarter in Hassan district. It is also one the piligrimage centers. It is situated at a distance of 30 kms towards south from district Head quarters, Arkalgud is a state Highway and it connect to the inter state.
- The Rail connection is situated in Holenarsipur town which is just 22 k.m. towards east the population of the town as per 2011 is 16,807.
- Arkalgud is considered as one of the important philigrimage centre, since Sri Lord Subramanya Swamy is being worshipped at Ramanathapura Village every year and car festival will be conducted in a befillinf manner which attracts thousands of piligrims all over the state and outside.
- The main temple is situated on the banks of the River Cauvery at Ramanathapura just at a distance of 22 kms. towards south.
- The preceeding dicty of Lord Subramanya is at subramanya town Sullia taluk. Dakshina Kannada dist. which attracts thousands of piligrims all over India.
- The allied dicty at Ramanathapura village is also syncronously worshipped on the same lines as the preceeding dicty worshipped at subramanya town during the time of " Subramanys sharts" Day which falls during the month of December of the every year. In these days all sections of the people under Hindu Religions workship to fulfill their vow, and have the blessings of Sri Nagaraja King of the serpent.
- Towards north there is no more piligrim temple at Gorur village which is about 7 Kms. from Arkalgud town. This temple is situated near River Hemavathi.
- Every Year the car festival will be conducted which attracts thousands of piligrims. The village "Gorur" is famous for born poets like late Dr. Gorur Ramaswamy lyengar who had written story books such as "Boothayyanamaga Ayyu" "Hemavathi" etc. These two stories have become cinemas during early period of 1968-69 and won awards.
- At the Eentrance to Arkalgud town. These is one :Ganapathi", Which is called as "Kothala Ganapathi" carved in stone is one of the attractive diety.
- After entering the town, there is one more temple which affectionately called as "Doddammadevaru" . The godess will be worshipped by every one without any restriction to have the blackges. According to legands it is king hearted diety.
- There is one Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple situated in fort area every year. The car festival will be conducted. The main diety is concidered to be the Historied one.
- Any one who visit the temple can closely watches the diety which resemble in a pleasing mood carrying. Sri. Lakshmi on the left side of the lap. The Arkalgud taluk main crop is Ragi, Potato, Paddy & Tabbacco, etc.,
- ಅರಕಲಗೂಡು ಒಂದು ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ಹಾಸನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ. ಇದು ಹಾಸನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗೆ ಕೇವಲ 30 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಇದು ಅನೇಕ ಯಾತ್ರಾ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಬಿಂದುವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅರಕಲಗೂಡು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ರಸ್ತೆಯು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ ರಸ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳು ಅಂರ್ತರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
- ಅರಕಲಗೂಡು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಒಟ್ಟು ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 2011ಕ್ಕೆ 16,807ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅರಕಲಗೂಡು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಪೂರ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಳೆನರಸೀಪುರ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಿದ್ದು, ಅರಕಲಗೂಡಿನಿಂದ ಹೊಳೆನರಸೀಪುರಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇವಲ 22 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ಇದ್ದು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ರೈಲು ಸಂಚಾರವಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
- ಅರಕಲಗೂಡು ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ರಾಮನಾಥಪುರದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕಾಶಿ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಬ್ರಮಣ್ಯೇಶ್ವರಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವಿದ್ದು ಅರಕಲಗೂಡಿನಿಂದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕ್ಕೆ 18 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ, ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ಕಾವೇರಿ ನದಿಯ ದಂಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ನದಿ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌಗಲ್ಲು ಇರುತ್ತದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ಅರಕೇಶ್ವರಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮೇಶ್ವರಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ಇದು ಒಂದು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ಯಾತ್ರಾಸ್ಥಳವಾದೆ.
- ಮತ್ತೋಂದು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ತಾಣವಾದ ಗೊರೂರು ಅರಕಲಗೂಡು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಕೇವಲ 7ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಗೊರೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಮಾವತಿ ನದಿಯಿದ್ದು, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಲಾಗಿ ಅಣೆಕಟ್ಟನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ಬಹಳ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೂ ಈ ನದಿ ನೀರನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ವಿದ್ಯುಚ್ಛಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
- ಸುಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಕವಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಡಾ||ಗೊರೂರುರಾಮಸ್ವಾಮಿಅಯ್ಯಂಗಾರ್ ರವರು ಗೊರೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಇವರ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಳಾದ “ಬೂತಯ್ಯನಮಗ ಅಯ್ಯು”ಹಾಗೂ “ಹೇಮಾವತಿ” ಗಳು 1968-69ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳಾಗಿ ತೆರೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು,ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳೂ ಕೂಡ ಲಭಿಸಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಗೊರೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧನರಸಿಂಹಸ್ವಾಮಿದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವಿದ್ದು ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವುಕೂಡಹೇಮಾವತಿನದಿಯದಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಇರುತ್ತದೆ.ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೂಡ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಜಾತ್ರಾಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ಜರುಗುತ್ತದೆ.
